Tiny House Charity Spotlight: Seattle Homeless Women’s Project
Scouring the news for Tiny House happenings has unearthed a wonderful story about a project to build safe affordable housing specifically for women by women in Seattle, Washington. ABC originally reported the story here.
It is dangerous for anyone to be homelessness, but there are specific dangers for a woman to be homeless. That is why housing is such a basic human right, that should be available for all of humanity.
The charity Women4Women in Seattle looks to women to solve this issue by providing Tiny Houses to women. This project is run by Seattle’s Low Income Housing Institute (LIHI) and is creating little villages where tiny houses are built for homeless women by volunteers. This is a worthy cause, so if you are in the Seattle area and want to help please look them up and lend a hand!
